How it works

What to expect

Dr. Buddhavarapu keeps a small practice so that each patient receives unhurried attention. Here is what working with the practice looks like, from the first call through ongoing care.

The path

From first call to ongoing care

01

A first conversation

It begins with a phone call. You describe what you're facing, and Dr. Buddhavarapu tells you honestly whether he can help. Not every patient is right for the practice; if it isn't a fit, he'll try to point you toward someone who is.

02

The first visit

The first visit is long by design, usually more than an hour. Dr. Buddhavarapu reviews your full history, your medications, and what you've already tried, and asks about sleep, diet, and daily life. Bring your records, your medication list, and your questions.

03

An individual plan

Only after understanding the whole picture does he build a plan. It may combine conventional treatment, integrative approaches, and referrals when another clinician's expertise is the right fit. He coordinates with your existing specialists rather than replacing them.

04

Ongoing care

Patients reach Dr. Buddhavarapu directly, and care is adjusted as needs change, with meaningful follow-up over time. Visits take place at the Tuckahoe office, virtually across New York State, and — in select circumstances — at home.

Scheduling & fees

Scheduling and payment

The practice schedules with some flexibility, including weekday evenings and Saturdays, since many patients work or care for someone who does. Patients reach Dr. Buddhavarapu directly by phone or message.

The practice does not participate in insurance plans; patients pay for their care directly. What care costs depends on what's needed, and costs are explained before you commit to anything. For patients with out-of-network benefits, documentation is provided so a claim can be filed.

The office

The office on Main Street

Dr. Buddhavarapu sees patients at 69 Main Street in Tuckahoe, a private office in the heart of the village and an easy walk from the Tuckahoe Metro-North station.

The office is shared with Dr. Peter Zheng, a board-certified pain management and rehabilitation physician. When a patient needs acupuncture, PRP, or an interventional procedure, that care is available in the same office.
